Featured
A rotating editorial spotlight on the people, practices, and aesthetics this site cares about. Real interviews, real photography, real disclosure of lineage and work — done with the Tantra Authority editorial frame instead of the conventional men's-magazine frame.
The three recurring features
1. Featured Person
A monthly cover-feature on a person — generally a woman — whose body, work, and sexual self-determination embody what this site advocates for. Not a centerfold. Not "the girl next door." A real adult: writer, artist, sex worker, dancer, model, somatic teacher, photographer, ritualist — whatever they are — with full editorial treatment. Long-form interview about their work, their lineage, their relationship to their own body and sexuality, their economics, their boundaries, their appetites. Photography by collaborators who treat the body as a subject, not a product.
The format is closer to a 1970s Playboy Interview crossed with a contemporary art-magazine cover story than to a current-era objectification. The subject speaks. Their work is documented. Their body is photographed honestly. The reader leaves understanding them, not consuming them.
2. Featured Fetish
Each issue, one specific fetish or practice gets the deep-treatment editorial workup. Featured Foot Fetish. Featured Submission. Featured Group Sex. Featured Voyeurism. Featured Exhibitionism. Featured Public Play. The same investigative pattern — neuroscience, evolutionary frame, dismantling of shame, cultural history — combined with a featured practitioner / artist / writer working in that lane, with their work showcased and their lineage disclosed.
This is not a kink-of-the-month listicle. It is sustained editorial attention to one piece of the human shadow at a time, treated with the seriousness it deserves and the lightness that prevents the seriousness from becoming pretentious.
3. Featured Artist
Erotic art, photography, ritual art, somatic art, performance art, body-based art — practitioners whose work intersects with what this site is about. Each feature: a portfolio of their work, a long-form interview about their practice, prints / books / commissions available through the shop, and the editorial context that shows the reader why this artist matters.
The point is to put the artists this site admires into a context where they are taken seriously as artists, not as decorators.
Photography included — and named, because erotic / body / fine-art photography is its own discipline with its own lineages and standards, and most modern erotic photography either pretends to be art and isn't, or actually is art and gets ghettoized into "boudoir" by a culture that doesn't know how to look at it. Featured photographers get the same treatment as any other Featured Artist: a dedicated portfolio spread, an interview about their craft, prints available through the shop, and the editorial context that distinguishes their work from the generic.
Submissions
If you are a woman, fetish-specialist practitioner, artist, or photographer interested in being considered for a Featured spread:
editorial@tantraauthority.com (setup pending)
Submissions go through the same vetting as the Practitioner Directory — full lineage and (where applicable) cult-association transparency required. The featured slots are limited and the editorial standard is high.
Status
The Featured section launches with the first cover story in 2026. The build is in progress. Photography partnerships are being formed. The first cover star will be announced when she's ready to be announced.
In the meantime — read the articles, read the book when it ships, and come back when there's something to look at.
