Invite-only intake

Practitioner Intake

If you're reading this, Lawrence sent you a private link. This form is how Tantra Authority gets to know practitioners well enough to feature them — in the directory, in a Featured profile, and (if you want) as a guest writer.

It's long. 33 questions, 60–90 minutes for a careful answer. You don't have to answer everything. The questions that produce the best material are usually the ones in section D — give those time. We are not impressed by polished bios. We are impressed by real disclosure and clean voice.

What happens after you submit: The editorial team reviews. We may follow up with questions. If we want to feature you, we draft three pieces from your submission — a directory listing, a Featured profile, and (if you wrote one) a guest article — and you review every draft before anything goes live. Nothing publishes without your sign-off on the final version.

A. Who you are

Five questions. Identity + basic contact.

B. Lineage + training transparency

Five questions. These are the questions the directory's vetting standard requires. Non-disclosure is the only disqualifier.

For each: their name, the years, the location, the length of training, what specifically you got from them. Be thorough. We will verify a sample.

Disclose. Non-disclosure is the only disqualifier. We respect honest disclosure even when the affiliation is controversial. If you've left a group, name when and why.

What you know, when you found out, how you've handled the information in your own practice and your relationships with students. If there are none you know of, say so.

Books, mentors, personal experience, traditions you studied informally. Anything that made you who you are that wasn't a classroom.

What credentials you hold + your real evaluation of how much each one was worth, and how much was credential-theater. We are not impressed by certificate-stacking; we are impressed by honesty about it.

C. Your actual practice

Eight questions. Scope-of-practice integrity. The directory listing is built from this section.

Modalities, in plain language. Not the marketing copy. The real thing.

Scope-of-practice integrity. The work you specifically refuse to take on.

Typical client profile. Who comes to you, who shouldn't.

First 10 minutes, middle, end. What actually happens.

Sessions, packages, sliding scale if any. No hidden tiers, no "ask in DMs."

What you used to do and stopped doing. Where you've grown.

What you wish was easier. What's still in development. Your honest limits.

Clients, colleagues, or teachers. Name + email + relationship. We may contact them.

D. Voice + editorial

Eight questions. This is the part that makes you a writer. Long honest answers are more valuable than short polished ones. Take your time.

Specifically. The actual story, not the bio version. What was happening in your life when you found this? What kept you in it?

Not the most inspiring. The hardest. What was painful. What took years to integrate.

What does the public miss?

Every honest practitioner has a list. We want yours.

Anonymize the client. The case that changed how you practice. The session where you realized you'd been doing something wrong, or right, or impossible.

What they think they're there for, what they actually need, the gap.

Read 3–5 articles at tantraauthority.com before answering. We want practitioners whose stance overlaps with the framework's editorial position. Name what specifically lands for you.

Honest critique welcome. We are not building a cult of agreement.

E. Photos + visual

Three questions. The Featured profile is built around what you upload here.

Suggested mix: one clean portrait (eye contact, simple background), one working photo (in your practice space, doing the work, not posed), one lifestyle photo (you out of work context — at home, at a meal, somewhere that says something about who you are when no one's paying you to be there). Up to two more optional. JPG or PNG, ideally 2000px+ on the long edge.

For a Featured Person cover spread, if we go that direction.

Check to grant Tantra Authority permission to use the photos you've submitted (and any subsequent editorial photography) in connection with your listing, Featured profile, and any guest articles you publish on Tantra Authority and its affiliated channels (newsletter, social, print book references). You retain copyright. You can revoke usage by written request with 30 days' notice.

F. What you want from this

Four questions. Editorial direction.

Pick all that apply.

Full name, professional name, or anonymous? Anything in your background you do NOT want included publicly?

Suggest 1–3. We'll match against the editorial queue and confirm direction before you start drafting. Optional: paste a 200-word excerpt of your writing in any voice so we can calibrate.

What we didn't ask. What matters to you. What the gap is in how we framed this conversation.

Submitting sends your responses to Lawrence and the editorial team. We respond within 7 days. Nothing publishes without your final sign-off.

Privacy: Your submission is stored in a private editorial workspace. Your data is not shared with third parties. Photos remain private until you approve final-draft Featured profile / directory listing for publication. You can request deletion of your submission at any time by emailing the editorial team.
